Player standing outside Browns facility

All Monte Gaddis wants is a chance to showcase his skills, and he might just get it.The Cleveland native and former Towson linebacker stood outside the Browns facility with a sign reading,"Starving for my [first] shot" and asking "Why not?" He was out there for a few days and posted updates on his Instagram Steve McNair Jersey account.MORE: Best undrafted free agents for each team | Dez Bryant's tirade"This is something that I really stand behind and know if I get that shot I'll take full advantage of it," he writes. "This has been a dream since I was 10 years old [and]I won't let this pa s up."Well, his hustle paid off. On Thursday, he posted a video saying he had a meeting with Browns general manager Ray Farmer. Gaddis said he had a brief conversation with the GM, exchanged numbers and now "it's all in God's hands."Nothing stopped Gaddis when he was standing outside the facility. On Tuesday, it started raining, but he just held an umbrella Za'Darius Smith Jersey with a smile on his face.Making history Ima make a team pic.twitter.com/eRT8OUMDEr Mont Gaddis (@MonteGaddis) November 10, 2015Even though he's starting to get recognition for his efforts and had a meeting with Farmer, Gaddis isn't satisfied. His dream is to get a tryout and make an NFL roster. He hasn't accomplished either of those feats yet. Until he does, he's going to keep pushing and make his me sage known to teams. All the support is great and all the exposure is good but my job is not done. I started this to get my first NFL opportunity and I'm still working hard to get that. I'm really excited to know that my vision is clear to everyone now. I do it for all the underdogs, troubled teens, single moms, or anyone that needs that extra push towards succe s. IM WITH YA! Never give up on something that you really want, this has not been an easy proce s for me but I know how to overcome obstacles. Once I get that tryout, I'm gonna kill it and I'm not looking back. It's more than just making the team, it's showing everyone how to fight and not give up for something you want. The crazy part is, y'all haven't even read my book yet. This is the beginning of a great succe s story. THANK YOU to all my supporters from the beginning & all my new supporters, I LOVE YALL Make sure you keep tagging teams, players, news or major headlines to my pictures! Have a productive day & keep God 1st! #MonteGaddis #GaddisGuidance #TeamGaddis Kamalei Correa Jersey #WhyNot #MotivationalUseOnly #SameRootsDifferentRoutes #LeagueDreams #GoGetItA photo posted by Mont Gaddis (@montegaddis) on Nov 13, 2015 at 6:33am PSTHe's looking to make it as a safety after being a standout linebacker at Towson. Gaddis was also a former walk-on at Maryland. Earlier this year, he was playing overseas in the Polish American Football League. He read about free agent receiver Joe Anderson camping out in front of the Texans' stadium earlier this month, and decided to try it for himself."I told [Farmer Brandon Carr Jersey ] I felt this was the best route I had since I didn't have an agent or anything," Gaddis said, via Cleveland.com. "I told him, 'Hey, it got you to come acro s the street to talk to me. I think I did a good job.' He chuckled, so it was a good feeling."There's no telling if Gaddis will get his chance, but he certainly won't quit trying. He's adamant to make his dream come true.
